Lunar New Year Celebration comes to Los Angeles Public Library two years in a row. This time more Asian artists and cultural resources are invited to share the joy and LNY blessings with more local patrons.
Sino US Performing Arts Organization continues its partnership with the Celebration, bringing more well-received Yue Opera performance to the Library theater. Our performer friends present two acts from the classic Mermaid Legend and Mei Lijun, mesmerizing audiences with dramatic plot twists and beautiful music. Kids from Fields Elementary Mandarin Immersion program and two national treasure musicians invited by King Sejong Institute Center USA also wow patrons with their incredible showcases.
More family-friendly crafts programs are available where kids and parents can enjoy storyline, dragon lantern-making, and calligraphy.
