In partnership with Bowers Museum, Sino US Performing Arts Organization is proud to present the inaugural “East Meets West” Concert at the Museum’s Norma Kershaw Auditorium on February 26, bringing an afternoon of amazing music to community friends in Orange County.
Featuring two young talents, pianist/composer George Ko and Erhu musician Yimiao Chen, “East Meets West” is the first in-person performance at the Museum since the pandemic. With engaging talks and marvelous rendition, George and Yimiao wow the audiences with solo performance of each’s musical instrument in a variety of Western and Eastern music. The artists take all attendees by surprise after wrapping up their solo rendition with a remarkable duet of piano and Erhu joined by the special guest, Erhu master, Mr. Jun Chen.

Known for his alluring sound, expressivity, and eloquence at the keyboard, pianist/composer George Ko has appeared on stages worldwide, including nine appearances at Carnegie Hall. Yimiao Chen
Born into China’s legendary Erhu (also known as Chinese violin) family, Yimiao Chen is an award-winning Erhu musician and currently a freshman at Berklee College of Music. Blending traditional Chinese music with pop cultures, Yimiao is known for her cross-genre performances and viral among Gen Z.
